Quality Assurance Engineer II - Remote

Overview

The QA Engineer II will find bugs, defects, and regressions. They will also design, implement, execute and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts. Validate and document completion of testing and development. Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Verify fixes and help ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing.

In Short

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team.
• Design, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools.
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs.
• Perform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as required.
• Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy.
• Demonstrate a proficient understanding of our products or technologies.

Requirements

• Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product.
• Must have a technical background to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries.
• Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems.
• Familiarity with administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus.
