Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for generating qualified leads, nurturing early-stage client relationships, and facilitating the sales process by identifying client needs and communicating the value of our products/services.

In Short

  • Follow up on inbound leads and inquiries to secure meetings.
  • Implement multi-channel outreach campaigns to engage prospects.
  • Identify and research target accounts and contacts.
  • Assess lead quality using established frameworks like BANT.
  • Schedule and provide hand-off notes for qualified meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospecting activities in CRM.
  • Collaborate with Sales RVPs and Marketing teams.
  • Handle objections and maintain outreach efforts.
  • Work in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Experience in healthcare/employee benefits or tech industry preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, sales, or business administration.
  • Proven success in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Strong communication skills via email and phone.
  • Ability to handle objections and rejection.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
  • Innovative thinking and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a team player attitude.
