Overview

The Specialist, Absence Management at IHG plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient management of absence processes, guaranteeing that all colleagues receive their entitled time-off benefits. This position serves as the key liaison between first-level support, hotel and corporate HR, payroll operations, and technical support teams. The specialist will leverage their expertise to enhance the absence management process, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while providing exceptional support to colleagues and stakeholders.

In Short

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and knowledge of all time-off plans at IHG.
  • Collaborate with HR, Labor Relations, and Total Rewards teams.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support testing and implementation of updates to absence plans.
  • Resolve complex inquiries related to absence management.
  • Develop training materials for HR teams on absence management policies.

Requirements

  • Experience managing absences in multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Proficient in absence and leave management software, especially Oracle and UKG.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
