Overview

The Legal Manager - Renewables serves as the central legal advisor for the development team, ensuring legally sound structuring of SPVs and supporting the expansion of the business model.

In Short

• Act as a central legal point of contact for the entire Development Team.
• Lead/support SPV structuring and implement optimal legal/commercial/tax set-ups.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage land option/lease/purchase and grid agreements.
• Align with landowners, project managers, and municipalities on property/contract matters.
• Obtain and analyse land registry extracts and easements.
• Analyse and optimise commercial clauses; benchmark vs. market/competitors.
• Track contractual payments and milestones, initiate remedies for variances.
• Collaborate with institutional investors to deliver investor-grade solutions.

Requirements

• Fully qualified German lawyer or Business Lawyer with a focus on commercial/energy law.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Experience in contract and project development, property and land rights.
• In-depth knowledge of property law, easements, and rights in rem.
• Experience in structuring and reviewing legal and commercial documentation.
• Continuous monitoring of legislative developments related to energy law.
• Fluency in English and German both written and verbal.
