Senior Software Engineer, Platform - Remote

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team will design performant foundational systems and developer integration tooling supporting our other backend software engineering teams: API, internal services, and data science. The Platform team's solutions better enable these teams to rapidly develop mission-critical solutions and applications for our customers and for our operations & supply chain teams, with greater consistency, performance, security, operability, and maintainability.

In Short

• Own mission-critical and high scale systems and integrations.
• Design, document, and support tooling and integrations.
• Drive important technical discussions and help the team arrive at the best possible solution.
• Work closely with engineering leads on planning and execution of projects.
• Contribute directly to important feature development and maintenance.
• Help raise the bar on code quality and enforce engineering discipline.
• Participate in the interview process of other engineering candidates.

Requirements

• 5+ yrs of commercial software development experience.
• 3+ yrs of experience using Python as the primary environment.
• 2+ yrs of experience with web frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• 3+ yrs of relational SQL experience and strong understanding of MySQL.
• 2+ yrs of experience using Docker.
• 2+ yrs of experience troubleshooting production issues.
• 2+ years of professional experience within an AWS environment.
