In Short

• Contribute to the migration of a monolithic PHP application into a scalable API layer.
• Refactor and modernize the existing multi-sided application using Laravel.
• Improve engineering velocity by resolving development bottlenecks.
• Engage with developers to understand code issues and technical debt.
• Implement core services for authentication and foundational platform components.
• Collaborate with product teams for long-term technical solutions.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Participate in architectural discussions for infrastructure and scalability.
• Enjoy a positive work culture focused on well-being.
• Work remotely with occasional travel to the San Jose office.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform development.
• Strong experience in PHP, Laravel, MySQL, and RESTful API development.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems.
• Deep SQL knowledge for database design and optimization.
• Experience with authentication and security best practices.
• Ability to debug and optimize a multi-sided platform.
• Proficiency in Git and team-based development.
• Ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Must be able to legally work in the US.
• Ability to travel to the San Jose office up to three times per year.
