Senior Database Reliability Engineer II - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Database Reliability Engineer II at CrowdStrike, you will be responsible for maintaining and automating database systems to support our large-scale cloud-based infrastructure.

In Short

• Work with data plane services like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, and Kafka.
• Automate large-scale cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Customer Support teams.
• Ensure data safety, security, and availability.
• Develop infrastructure services for a full DevOps model.
• Maintain deep understanding of data components.
• Support troubleshooting of time-sensitive production issues.
• Work effectively with local and remote teams.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Participate in background and fingerprint checks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS, or Engineering.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Salt.
• Strong Ruby programming skills.
• Experience with large-scale datastores and Linux environments.
• Proven ability to make critical decisions.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed.
