Underwriter - Remote

Overview

The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating mortgage loan applications to determine eligibility according to company and regulatory guidelines.

• Clear conditions related to credit and title.
• Prepare loan files for underwriter review.
• Assist underwriters to ensure timely processing.
• Verify completeness of credit files.
• Calculate income for mortgage applications.
• Confirm changes in circumstances and adjust loan pricing.
• Run reports and interact with third-party vendors.
• Underwrite a minimum of 3-4 new loans daily.
• Review and analyze mortgage loan applications.
• Ensure compliance with investor and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in Non-QM underwriting.
• 2 years of general underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of Conforming and Non-QM Underwriting Guidelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• High level of math aptitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with conventional loan products.
• Proficient in computer software relevant to the role.
