Overview

The Underwriter is responsible for underwriting new and renewal business in a call center environment, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and providing excellent service to clients.

• Underwrite new and renewal business.
• Meet production goals assigned by TAPCO.
• Approve and disapprove endorsement quote requests.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Market TAPCO products and services.
• Instruct support staff on cancellation and non-renewal notices.
• Review inspection reports for compliance.
• Maintain necessary licenses.

Requirements

• Licensed in corresponding areas of insurance or willing to obtain licensure.
• Ability to analyze insurance policies.
• Understand client needs and risk profiles.
• Recognize trends in the insurance industry.
• Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting.
• Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel, and TAPSYS.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours if necessary.
