Risk and Compliance Officer - Remote

Overview

The Risk and Compliance Officer will work alongside the Head of Risk and Compliance to ensure compliance requirements are enforced and to monitor and improve business process compliance according to regulation.

In Short

• Works alongside Head of Risk and Compliance to ensure compliance requirements are enforced
• Monitor and improve business process compliance according to regulation
• Performs regular reviews of Risk and Compliance documentation
• Help prepare the Risk and Compliance Oversight Committee and Avantia Insurance Limited Board Pack
• Help prepare and perform Internal Audits (including Material Outsourcers)
• Help manage the Avantia Risk Management Framework
• Ensure that all advice and operations remain FCA compliant
• Ensure ‘Privacy by Design’ is considered within the firm including Impact Assessments and updating registers
• Horizon scanning of regulatory matters
• Provide compliance support for all employees

Requirements

• Experience in Risk and Compliance roles
• Knowledge of FCA regulations
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Internal Audits
• Understanding of Privacy by Design principles
• Ability to perform documentation reviews
• Experience in preparing board packs
• Proactive approach to compliance support
