Lowitja Institute is Australia's only national, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled health research institute. Named in honour of Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue AC CBE DSG, the organization prioritizes self-determination, knowledge sovereignty, and a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. It focuses on building health research capacity, supporting education and training, and delivering innovative research products that positively impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
