Overview

Highnote is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Controller to lead and scale our accounting and finance operations. As Controller, you will be responsible for the critical financial backbone of Highnote—ensuring accurate financial reporting, building scalable accounting processes, and driving operational excellence.

In Short

• Lead and execute all aspects of accounting operations.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal teams for compliance.
• Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll reconciliation.

Requirements

• 15+ years in accounting, with 5 years in senior leadership roles.
• In-depth understanding of the payments ecosystem.
• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment.
• Extensive experience with ERP systems.
• CPA required with a degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong decision-making and reasoning capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic startup environments.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven.
