Overview

The Controller oversees Sound Agriculture’s accounting, financial reporting, and overall financial operations, focusing on enhancing financial policies and procedures to support a rapidly growing organization.

In Short

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting.
• Manage internal financial reports and audits.
• Supervise bank accounts and financial operations.
• Develop accounting processes and controls.
• Work with the CFO on strategic financial planning.
• Coordinate with various departments for financial efficiency.
• Utilize RAMP software for Accounts Payable.
• Manage AR, Payroll, and Banking relationships.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Work remotely or onsite in Berkeley.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Finance/Accounting with CPA preferred.
• Experience with Netsuite and RAMP.
• Understanding of financial controls and processes.
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in growth-stage companies, preferably in Biotech or Agriculture.
• Strong systems integration skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with internal auditing and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
