Overview

The Patient Access Team Lead oversees daily operations of patient registration, financial counseling, insurance verification, and scheduling, ensuring compliance and training for staff while monitoring performance metrics.

  • Requires experience in medical terminology and software.
  • Adheres to HIPAA and data security guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Experience with benefit verification and collections.
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to monitor and improve staff performance.
  • Proficient with various computer software programs.
  • Preferred Associate’s degree.
