Overview

The Associate Application Developer assists in providing application development services, focusing on less complex solutions and general support to maintain applications, while adhering to Highmark IT standards.

In Short

  • Assist in analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application enhancements.
  • Provide general production support to meet service levels and performance standards.
  • Collaborate with customers and team members to understand business requirements.
  • Participate in the full system development life cycle.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.
  • Participate in project teams in various roles based on experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all Highmark standards and policies.
  • Provide technical support, including release implementations.
  • Assist in conducting technical walkthroughs and reporting project status.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 0 - 1 year of experience in Information Technology or related field.
  • Familiarity with the Healthcare or Health Insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with application development tools and software development life cycle.
  • Skills in problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Leadership skills are preferred.
  • Knowledge of various programming languages and technologies.
  • Certifications in relevant application areas are preferred.
  • Ability to work in compliance with company policies and standards.
  • No specific licenses or certifications required.
