We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Engineer with expertise in ClickHouse and other columnar databases.

In Short

• Design, optimize, and maintain ClickHouse databases for analytical workloads.
• Develop efficient data models for fast query performance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.
• Work with data engineers and software developers to integrate ClickHouse.
• Optimize data ingestion processes for structured and semi-structured data.
• Implement partitioning, sharding, and indexing strategies.
• Evaluate ClickHouse against other columnar databases.
• Establish best practices for backup and disaster recovery.
• Automate database deployment and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with high-performance databases.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with large-scale data handling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like NodeJS, Python, Go, or Java.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Apache Spark, or Flink.
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Strong understanding of columnar storage formats.
• Knowledge of cloud-based ClickHouse deployments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
