Remote Clinical Pharmacy Technician

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing member medication counseling and assistance to minimize gaps in treatment by collaborating with various teams across Healthfirst and with our community partners of pharmacists and providers.

In Short

• Perform review of medication lists to eliminate barriers to medication therapy.
• Facilitate member access to medications by obtaining refills and setting up appointments.
• Communicate medication treatment plans with Healthfirst Pharmacists and other partners.
• Monitor and communicate member medication adherence with community pharmacies.
• Conduct patient health assessments to identify potential barriers to medication adherence.
• Handle member and provider communications telephonically.
• Ensure compliance with medication therapy management standards.
• Collaborate with various teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Document care delivered and communicate effectively with providers.
• Assist members experiencing financial issues with medication access.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience in clear and professional communication.
• Experience communicating with patients, providers, and pharmacists.
• Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing or registered/licensed.
• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Medication Therapy Management Certificate is a plus.
