Overview

The Patient Pay Specialist coordinates patient pay related activities associated with the care of service provided to the customers of the company.

In Short

  • Full-time position with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Opportunity to work from home one day a week after training.
  • Provide respectful and courteous service to create sustainable customer relationships.
  • Collect unpaid/past due revenue while maintaining high call quality standards.
  • Research, analyze, and settle customer billing disputes.
  • Assist with inquiries regarding patient balances via calls, chat, or email.
  • Maintain knowledge on Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer sources.
  • Report updates on vital information to the Billing Director.
  • High school diploma or GED required; 6 months in a medical field preferred.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 6 months in a medical related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of home medical equipment and insurance regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems while assisting customers.
  • Good computer and keyboard skills.
