Collections Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Collections Specialist is responsible for minimizing accounts rolling into delinquency by utilizing superior negotiation skills and sound decision-making to bring accounts to current status.

In Short

• Collection of delinquent payments and fees 1 – 60 days.
• Meet or exceed established call volume and account action requirements.
• Maintain daily Work To Be Done list with detailed notes.
• Collect and process payments by phone via ACH or Wire.
• Establish “Promises to Pay” from customers.
• Generate conversations with customers to understand their financial situation.
• Provide support to 61+ day collectors.
• Review contract files for understanding of transactions.
• Utilize internet and internal tools for customer searches.
• Work with Credit Department for updated credit profiles.

Requirements

• 2 years of collection experience (commercial collections preferred).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid time management skills.
• Goal-driven attitude.
