Overview

The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration, analysis, and execution of employee benefits programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while enhancing employee satisfaction through effective benefits management.

In Short

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and wellness initiatives.
  • Monitor employee benefits data transmission to different vendors.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
  • Collaborate with benefits vendors and insurance providers.
  • Conduct bi-weekly Benefits New Hire Orientations.
  • Assist in benefits enrollment processes.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records in HRIS.
  • Support the development of benefits communication materials.
  • Analyze benefits utilization data and prepare reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of benefits laws and regulations.
  • Experience with International benefits is a plus.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and benefits management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
