Overview

The Principal DFIR Consultant is the highest individual contributor level within GuidePoint Security's DFIR Practice, leading complex investigations and shaping practice operations.

In Short

• Serve as the foremost technical authority in DFIR.
• Lead critical investigations on high-severity engagements.
• Conduct advanced technical execution in forensics and analysis.
• Mentor junior and mid-level technical staff.
• Develop and maintain DFIR methodologies and playbooks.
• Build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities and technical scoping.
• Represent GuidePoint in the DFIR community through presentations and publications.
• Participate in on-call rotations for high-severity incidents.
• Continuously improve team performance and processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on DFIR experience.
• 10+ years of IT and information security experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in multiple DFIR disciplines.
• Exceptional communication skills for executive audiences.
• Experience in mentoring and developing technical staff.
• Experience in developing DFIR methodologies and tooling.
