Overview

The Remote Medical Assistant serves as a bridge between patients and healthcare providers, engaging patients to support their health needs and navigate care systems.

In Short

  • Engage with patients to address health needs and navigate care.
  • Build relationships with patients, families, and providers.
  • Support patients in understanding care plans and health goals.
  • Document interactions and assessments in EHR systems.
  • Coordinate care and assist with referrals and resources.
  • Work independently while collaborating with care teams.
  • Meet KPIs related to patient engagement and outcomes.
  • Follow HIPAA and privacy policies.
  • Utilize various EHR platforms and analytics tools.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Korean, Mandarin, or Hindi are preferred.

Requirements

  • Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in patient navigation or similar roles.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and care coordination.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
  • Experience with EHR documentation.
  • Understanding of social determinants of health.
  • Customer service orientation and empathy.
