Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Grove Collaborative, you will design, build, and extend services and data models that power Grove’s eCommerce experience, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver reliable and scalable systems.

In Short

• Build and extend core services and APIs for eCommerce functions.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to execute technical vision.
• Drive architectural decisions on a hybrid Shopify platform.
• Ensure performance and maintainability across eCommerce systems.
• Work with third-party partners for customer experience improvements.
• Review code and provide guidance to peers.
• Operate services on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Utilize CI/CD practices for deployment.
• Design architecture primarily in Python/Django with PostgreSQL.
• Champion best practices in software development.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend/platform experience.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Django.
• Strong architectural judgment and relational data management.
• API design expertise and performance considerations.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Ownership and product sense in development.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
