Senior Software Engineer, Platform (Backend) - Remote

Overview

Cribl is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help set the technical direction for Stream, working with a team to develop products that delight customers.

In Short

• Develop software for backend systems and APIs.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain robust code.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Create test plans and automated tests for product features.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in on-call/support rotation.
• Take initiative to help the team reach desired outcomes.
• Stand-by or off-hours duties may be required.

Requirements

• Experience with large scale data sets (Node.js/Typescript).
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with systems level debugging and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Agile processes.
• Experience developing for cloud platforms.
• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science or similar.
• Experience on data intensive applications.
• Knowledge of Docker and cloud services.
• Linux knowledge is a plus.
• Open source contribution is a plus.
