Medicaid Claims Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Medicaid Claims Analyst supports GOBHI’s Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) program by reviewing, processing, and reconciling Medicaid claims to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement.

In Short

• Review, validate, and process NEMT claims in accordance with Medicaid policies.
• Perform accurate billing and coding for NEMT claims using HCPCS/CPT codes.
• Verify member eligibility and service documentation prior to submission.
• Ensure claims are submitted within required timelines.
• Identify and resolve claim errors and discrepancies.
• Conduct regular audits of NEMT claims.
• Support corrective action plans and recommend process improvements.
• Prepare and submit billing batches to Medicaid and other payers.
• Collaborate with finance staff for accurate accounting.
• Provide training and technical assistance to providers.

Requirements

• Two years’ experience in Medicaid claims processing or healthcare reimbursement.
• Knowledge of Medicaid billing and claims submission requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Technology savvy, proficient with MS software and Google Suites.
• Education – Associate’s degree in a related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
