Data Engineering Team Lead - Remote

Overview

This position is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining data infrastructure to support efficient data management and analytics within the organization.

In Short

• Spearhead the development and maintenance of highly scalable, reliable, and resilient systems.
• Create configuration-driven, scalable, efficient, and robust data pipelines.
• Establish and implement data quality checks within pipelines.
• Define the future state data and analytics platform within the Azure Data ecosystem.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements.

• Implement data encryption and access controls for security compliance.
• Select and evaluate data engineering tools and platforms.
• Track and adjust costs of data engineering tools.
• Maintain incident response plans for data breaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in data engineering and related roles.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience with AWS/Azure Data technologies.
• Strong understanding of data structures and software architecture.
• Ability to provide creative solutions to complex problems.
• Proven track record of building high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
