Overview

As a Team Lead, Data Engineering at Blackline Safety, you will coordinate projects, assist in prioritizing tasks, and mentor Data Engineers while also contributing to hands-on project work.

In Short

• Lead a team responsible for developing and optimizing data pipeline architecture.
• Coordinate projects and assist in task prioritization.
• Mentor and coach Data Engineers.

• Manage on-call activities for the Data Engineering team.
• Participate in performance reviews for direct reports.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with team members.
• Responsible for all scrum ceremonies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead role.
• Bachelor’s or Graduate-level degree in a related field.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and Big Data technologies.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and Big Data tools.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT methodologies.
• Experience with AI/ML model development is a plus.
