Commercial Counsel - Remote

Overview

We’re looking for a Commercial Counsel to join the commercial legal team. You will be a partner to GoGuardian’s business, including sales, marketing, and engineering teams, on many commercial matters.

In Short

• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements relevant to a technology company.
• Providing strategic counsel on a broad range of business initiatives.
• Maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance.
• Supporting GoGuardian’s privacy program.
• Maintaining knowledge and providing guidance on school and local and state government contracts.
• Working cross-functionally with business and legal colleagues.
• Being a key leader of the legal team’s efforts.
• Helping with other legal or compliance needs as they arise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a law firm and/or technology company.
• J.D. from a well-regarded law school and active good standing with at least one state bar.
• Prior experience supporting a significant volume of commercial transactions.
• Superb drafting and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with contracting with K-12 public schools is a plus.
• Independent, self-starter capable of operating autonomously.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects.
• Clear, collaborative, and effective communication with business teams.
