Commercial Counsel - Remote

Overview

SOCi, the CoMarketing Cloud for Multi-Location Enterprises, is currently looking for an experiences Commercial Counsel candidate to join our expanding legal team. This role is pivotal in supporting our large sales teams by negotiating SaaS agreements, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Reseller Agreements, and Partnership Agreements. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in commercial law, with specific experience catering to enterprise-level negotiations within the SaaS industry.

In Short

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of outbound commercial contracts.
• Provide strategic legal advice to the sales and business teams.
• Work closely with internal teams to streamline contract management processes.
• Leverage AI/GAI technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Participate actively in developing the company’s legal processes.

Requirements

• Ability to work 100% remotely.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
• 5 years relevant experience with 2-3 years in-house commercial law.
• Experience negotiating SaaS agreements and related contracts.
• Proficiency in CLM systems, Slack, Google Suite, and Salesforce.
• Interest in using AI/GAI technologies in legal operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a tech company, particularly in the SaaS industry.
