Overview

The Client Support Specialist provides help desk support to end-users for PC, server, or mainframe applications, and hardware, ensuring accurate and timely technical assistance to maintain and improve customer relationships.

In Short

  • Receives client issues through multiple sources and assists in defining the problem.
  • Documents and generates support tickets for tracking purposes.
  • Provides initial technical support for internal and external client problems.
  • Escalates issues requiring more in-depth knowledge.
  • Verifies systems during and after scheduled outages.
  • Monitors critical path processing to confirm benchmarks are met.
  • Assists with client communication regarding issues and resolutions.
  • Requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Works under close supervision with detailed instructions.
  • May require 2 years of relevant experience in help desk or POS terminal support.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
  • Ability to work with minimal decision-making required.
  • Familiarity with company systems and client operating systems.
  • Ability to document issues and solutions effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
