Overview

The Area Vice President is responsible for building and managing a team of Area Sales Managers who are leading teams of Strategic Account Leaders selling GitLab’s industry leading single application for the full software development lifecycle.

In Short

  • Establish and deliver on a strategy to land new customers and expand existing accounts.
  • Recruit and develop a top tier, diverse enterprise sales organization.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop strategies for expanding the customer base.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Manage overall sales process and set metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated progressive second line leadership experience in strategic sales.
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high performing sales organization.
  • Deep experience selling into core market accounts.
  • Experience in overachievement of a $20m+ ACV annual quota.
  • Experience in software sales, preferably with development tools or open source.
  • Proven track record of working closely with the channel for growth leverage.
  • Success partnering with Marketing, Channel, Alliances, Product, and Engineering.
  • High levels of integrity, initiative, and leadership.
  • Adaptable, professional, and motivated team player.
  • Polished presentation skills and ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.
