Overview

GHJ Search & Staffing is seeking a VP Finance to lead the accounting and finance operations of a growing biotech company, ensuring compliance and accurate financial reporting.

In Short

• Lead day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Prepare SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and ASC 606.
• Manage a small accounting team (1-2 direct reports).
• Oversee internal controls and compliance processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with cross-functional leaders to support business initiatives.
• Operate with a strategic mindset while managing details.
• Self-starter in a remote work environment.

Requirements

• Public accounting experience required.
• Experience preparing and filing SEC reports.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting for a public company.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Ability to manage and mentor a small accounting team.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-starter who thrives in a hands-on environment.
