In Short

• Design, develop, test, and scale backend services and APIs that power Flex’s products.
• Implement service APIs used by mobile and web apps.
• Build robust, fault-tolerant systems integrating with external dependencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
• Translate feature requirements into technical specifications.
• Drive production rollouts with minimal oversight.
• Contribute to service-oriented architecture and best practices.
• Ensure services are observable and highly available.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD improvements.

Requirements

• Strong computer science fundamentals.
• 2–3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Java and familiar with Spring, Gradle, and JUnit.
• Experience with distributed services and APIs at scale.
• Familiar with REST API design and service-oriented architectures.
• Skilled in observability and monitoring tools like DataDog.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code.
• Excellent communication skills in a collaborative environment.
