Fingerprint's Smart Signals team is the front line of our fraud and device intelligence capabilities. We produce the signals — Bot Detection, Browser tampering detection, Incognito Detection, suspect score, fraud score and much more — that developers use to build secure, fraud-resistant applications. As the fraud landscape shifts toward agentic AI attacks and telemetry tampering, this team's work has never been more strategically critical. Smart Signals is key to Fingerprint's primary product differentiation - Every new signal you ship directly impacts ARR.

In Short

• Lead the Smart Signals team, focusing on performance management and career development.
• Drive execution through effective sprint planning and roadmap delivery.
• Maintain technical depth in backend systems to review designs and challenge decisions.
• Coordinate across teams to manage dependencies and communicate tradeoffs.
• Shape signal strategy in partnership with Engineering Leadership and Product.
• 4+ years of engineering management experience with a team of 8–10 engineers.
• Proven track record of reliable delivery and diagnosing team performance issues.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with PMs and data partners.
• Familiarity with fraud detection or security signals is a plus.
• Exposure to ML-in-production and real-time systems is advantageous.
