Legal Counsel - Payment Solutions - Remote

Overview

Join Fever’s growing legal team at our vibrant hub in Madrid! This role focuses on supporting the global expansion of our business including implementation of cutting-edge payment technologies, cashless payments, digital credit systems, and onsite payment solutions.

In Short

• Provide actionable business and product advice on regulatory and compliance matters related to payment systems.
• Demonstrate project administration skills in the design and implementation of financial regulation-compliant tech products.
• Support Fever’s global expansion efforts, particularly around cashless payment solutions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate key commercial contracts and terms.
• Assist commercial and operations teams with POS structures and local vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with external legal advisors as needed.
• Provide general commercial legal advice on contracts and partnerships.
• Participate in knowledge management, including creating templates and legal guides.
• Participate in upskilling and support of other team members.

Requirements

• Be a barred/practicing lawyer with at least 5+ years PQE including inhouse experience.
• Demonstrate experience advising on payment systems and fintech regulations.
• Professionally fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Have a keen eye for understanding strategic pain points and aligning legal advice with business goals.
• Show proactivity, adaptability, and a hands-on mindset.
• Be an effective communicator in global, cross-functional teams.
