Eurofins Scientific, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Food Product Testing Specialist to join our team in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will provide advanced technical leadership in the oversight, development, and optimization of food product testing operations.

In Short

• Provide technical leadership in the development and validation of analytical methods for food testing.
• Critically evaluate complex analytical datasets ensuring scientific validity and compliance.
• Collaborate with intercompany facilities to manage client product testing.
• Lead and support complex investigations applying root cause analysis methodologies.
• Oversee method transfer and comparability studies.
• Ensure data integrity through rigorous review of electronic records.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert for analytical chemistry.
• Provide advanced training and mentorship to laboratory staff.
• Support operational strategy by identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Assist with logistics for timely sending and receiving samples.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (+ 5 years’ experience) or Master’s degree (+1 year experience) in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in analytical laboratory environments.
• Advanced expertise in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques.
• Strong understanding of method development and regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data evaluation tools.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
