Overview

The HR/Benefits Specialist at EnableComp is responsible for supporting human resources operations, focusing on health and company benefits, leaves of absence, and employee engagement initiatives. This role requires excellent customer service and sound judgment regarding company policies.

In Short

  • Act as a key resource for employee benefits and leaves of absence inquiries.
  • Manage benefits administration activities including open enrollment and new hire orientation.
  • Evaluate requests for leaves of absence and ADA accommodations.
  • Analyze data from HRIS to support benefits and leave tracking.
  • Oversee Workers' Compensation claims and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Participate in employee engagement and retention efforts.
  • Support HR Director with various HR initiatives.
  • Interpret and apply HR policies, ensuring compliance with federal laws.
  • Use independent judgment in handling HR responsibilities.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of HR support experience.
  • Experience with benefit administration is required.
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification is highly recommended.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily.
