Overview

The Paralegal, Account Resolution (MVA) will provide administrative and paralegal support to the attorney staff in the MVA division, focusing on lien enforcement actions and account resolution.

In Short

• Draft legal documents for MVA lien enforcement actions.
• Provide legal support to attorneys in the MVA division.
• Identify accounts nearing statute of limitations for lien enforcement.
• Participate in settlement discussions and negotiations.
• Draft legal correspondence for the attorney team.
• Manage high-priority accounts and payment issues.
• Maintain a prioritized issue list for claims payment issues.
• Work on a queue of critical accounts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Paralegal Certification or equivalent degree.
• 2 years of prior paralegal experience.
• Experience in negotiation preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of legal terminology and civil litigation processes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
