Senior Solutions Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Solutions Engineer acts as a liaison between Sales, Product, Marketing, and customers, addressing potential roadblocks early in the sales process and creating detailed specifications agreed upon by both Egnyte and the client.

In Short

• Understand customers’ businesses and challenge their ideas.
• Technical lead in customer engagements with a consultative sales approach.
• Identify and address customer's technical needs to drive sales.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and solutions.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors’ products and strategies.
• Deep knowledge of Egnyte products and platform integrations.
• Perform technical benefits assessments for customers.
• Lead RFI, RFP, and Security Questionnaire responses.
• Travel to customer sites and events as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Sales Engineering experience in a SaaS company.
• Broad knowledge of SaaS, infrastructure, network, and security technologies.
• Curiosity about technology and passion for learning.
• Ability to work with all levels of customer roles including executives.
• Strong people orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Strong presentation skills for mixed audiences.
• Ability to assess situations and execute actions quickly.
• Experience with process-centric solution selling.
• Understanding of the entire sales cycle preferred.
