Senior Manager, Compliance Assurance - Remote

Overview

DoorDash is hiring an experienced compliance leader to help us build our compliance assurance function from the ground up. This high-visibility, high-impact role will establish the global legal compliance strategy in close partnership with legal, product, policy, engineering, audit, and business teams. In addition to laying the foundation of a new compliance second-line-of-defense function, you will translate regulatory requirements and legal guidance into controls, develop a strategy to test and monitor such controls, and mature the organization’s overall compliance strategy.

In Short

• Provide second-line-of-defense oversight to establish enterprise-wide compliance assurance frameworks and monitoring programs.
• Set the vision for legal compliance assurance and develop objectives for a new function.
• Build, refine, and standardize policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory requirements.
• Conduct compliance assessments to ensure adherence to standards.
• Partner with various teams to incorporate regulatory requirements into product design.
• Develop and oversee data collection for compliance reviews.
• Drive training initiatives to increase compliance awareness.
• Grow and mentor a team of compliance professionals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or related fields.
• Proven track record in managing compliance programs.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills to assess compliance issues.
• Ability to mentor and drive results through collaboration.
• Certifications such as CIA, CISA, or CRISC preferred.
