Overview

The Mortgage Originator position involves originating various mortgage products while providing excellent member-focused service.

In Short

• Originates first mortgage, home equity, and HELOC applications.
• Identifies appropriate products based on member needs.
• Manages individual application pipelines.
• Communicates with borrowers, realtors, and other parties.
• Negotiates terms and conditions of loans.
• Meets loan originator standards under the Truth in Lending Act.
• Maintains strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and mortgage systems.
• Knowledgeable about different loan types and products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
• Three years of real estate lending origination experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to pass FBI background check.
• Ability to travel and network with realtors.
• Experience with government programs such as FHA/VA is a plus.
