Overview

The Field Service Engineer at Leica Biosystems plays a crucial role in providing technical service and support for cancer diagnostics equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.

In Short

• Provide first-class technical support for key UKI customers.
• On-site installation of Histopathology and ancillary equipment.
• Work closely with Field Support Team for professional After Sales Service.
• Deliver accurate reporting and timely submission of service documentation.
• Cooperate with the sales team for installations and demonstrations.
• Identify required spare parts and manage service repairs.
• Escalate issues to local product specialists as needed.
• Maintain a “Best Team Wins” mentality.
• Travel across Scotland for customer site visits.
• Report to the Northern Team Leader.

Requirements

• Educated in Mechanical, Electronic or Electrical subjects.
• Bachelor’s degree/diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Proven ability to learn in technical areas.
• Ability to carry & move up to 25kg safely.
• Experience in a service role or related industry is a plus.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous.
