Overview

The Chef is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen in a remote camp, including ordering food ingredients, planning menus, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

• Journeyperson or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Valid Safe Food certificate required.
• 10 years of experience in hospitality/food service as a Chef.
• Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, GFS, Outlook).
• Extensive knowledge of menu costing and wage control.
• Strong background in various kitchen areas.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job.
