Overview

The Chef is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the kitchen in a remote camp, including menu planning, ordering food ingredients, and ensuring food safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

• Journeyperson or interprovincial Red Seal Certificate preferred.
• Valid Safe Food certificate required.
• 10 years’ experience in hospitality/food service as a Chef.
• Knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Extensive knowledge of menu costing and recipe implementation.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift and perform kitchen tasks.
