Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager & Deputy MLRO to join our UK team, reporting directly to the UK Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). The role will be based within a UK regulated authorised payment institution, while also playing a critical part in the wider global compliance function of the Deel group.

In Short

  • Support the UK Chief Compliance Officer in overseeing the regulatory compliance framework.
  • Conduct regular reviews of internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting regulatory reports to the FCA.
  • Act as the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for the UK entity.
  • Monitor, investigate, and report suspicious activities.
  • Collaborate with the global compliance team for policy alignment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments for financial crime.
  • Ensure compliance with UK data protection laws (GDPR).
  • Prepare reports for senior management on compliance issues.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and compliance best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations.
  • Experience in a Deputy MLRO or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of IT security requirements.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certificates in compliance or risk management are a plus.
