Lead Systems Engineer (Field Based) - Remote

Overview

The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for providing technical system recommendations and requirements to BD’s customers, working closely with project teams to ensure successful system implementation.

In Short

• Provide technical sales support and assist with server and software deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to achieve successful system implementations.
• Engage in backend business functions, including equipment ordering and product development.
• Participate in customer-facing responsibilities and provide peer support to other Systems Engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant BD policies and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of hospital information systems and related technologies.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide updates on critical issues.
• Support the deployment of BD servers and software in customer environments.
• Participate in specialized projects aimed at improving processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience with healthcare information systems and a variety of operating systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to establish collaborative relationships.
• Experience managing medium to large projects.
• Certifications in VMware, SQL, Networking, and IT security are preferred.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs. and meet immunization requirements.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet auto safety requirements.
• Flexibility to work independently and adapt to changing environments.
• Willingness to travel 10% - 25% for customer support.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
