Field Service Engineer 1 - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Engineer 1 for BD Pyxis Dispensing Devices is responsible for providing efficient and effective field service support to all BD dispensing customers within a designated territory, including service and repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and installations.

In Short

• Independently provide field service support for BD Pyxis Dispensing Devices.
• Conduct service and repair, preventative maintenance, and installations.
• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to and prioritize work orders, diagnosing hardware and software issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and support sales and implementation teams.
• Document field activity, expenses, and time distribution accurately.
• Continue training and self-development to advance skills.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet auto safety standards.
• Ability to lift 70 lb. objects and operate powered tools.
• Perform fine motor tasks and drive distances up to 6 hours.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
• Knowledge of computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking.
• Experience in medical device or electromechanical device service/repair.
• Customer Support Certification is required.
• Prior experience as a hospital pharmacy technician is a plus.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and defined processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
• Physical ability to perform job duties as described.
