This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Conflicts Staff Attorney to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, or San Francisco offices. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from the listed offices.

In Short

  • Undertake and analyze conflicts database searches for new matters.
  • Assist intake attorneys in clearing potential conflicts.
  • Identify conflicts of interest and draft waivers.
  • Participate in training sessions for attorneys and staff.
  • Update department training materials.
  • Run special searches for potential conflict issues.
  • Participate in special projects for new business intake best practices.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor; licensed to practice in one or more U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of conflict of interest rules; experience in a large law firm is ideal.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to build relationships with attorneys.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required; Elite Records Management System preferred.
