Conflicts Attorney - Remote

Overview

The Conflicts Attorney will identify, review, analyze, and resolve conflicts of interest for incoming legal personnel and new clients across the firm's offices.

In Short

• Identify and resolve conflicts related to new hires and new business.
• Consult with the Director of Conflict Services and General Counsel’s Office.
• Follow up with lawyers and firm personnel for conflict clearances, waivers, and engagement letters.
• Train new Conflicts Analysts and Coordinators on the Model Rules of Professional Conduct.
• Maintain conflict waivers and review client Outside Counsel Guidelines for compliance.
• Assist in the implementation of Ethical Walls.
• Handle time-sensitive projects with minimal supervision.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of two years' experience required.
• Strong knowledge of legal ethics and compliance.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited institution.
• Admission to a state bar in good standing.
• Minimum of two years' experience in conflict research, identification, and resolution.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred experience in analyzing conflicts for complex transactional matters.
• Experience with lateral hires is a plus.
