Overview

Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy, with the ultimate goal to dramatically improve people’s quality of life while protecting the environment. This goal will be accomplished through the commercialization of the fluoride-salt-cooled, high-temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed with robust safety, affordable costs, and flexible operation to accommodate the expansion of variable renewables.

In Short

• Serve as the primary attorney supporting Kairos Power’s supply chain and procurement team.
• Draft, review, and help negotiate a wide variety of domestic and cross-border contracts.
• Develop and maintain template agreements and contract clauses.
• Implement contracting processes and related company training.
• Provide guidance on vendor engagements and contractual terms.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and support pre-litigation disputes.
• Stay updated on relevant legal developments and market trends.
• Assist with other legal work as needed.

Requirements

• Current member in good standing with at least one state bar.
• 5+ years of legal experience with increasing responsibilities.
• Experience structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Strong attention to detail and risk identification skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively.
• Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing conditions.
• Problem-solving skills and efficiency.
